Join RSC Hull and Gibraltar Committees as we Guy Fawkes Day on commemorate on November 3. Guy Fawkes Day is an important event in British history, traditionally celebrated on November 5th. The day marks the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and a group of conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in an effort to overthrow the government. Their plan was thwarted, and Guy Fawkes was captured, making this event a turning point in British history.
At our celebration, we will not only enjoy a bonfire and the burning of effigies of Fawkes, but we’ll also take time to learn more about the history behind the event and its significance. Tickets will include a delicious feast of traditional bonfire fare and beverages—featuring beer and soft drinks. Join us for a night of history, food, and festivity as we honor this momentous occasion!
