Raleigh Sister Cities is a 501(c)3 non-profit that celebrates global cultures through long-term partnerships and programs with city-to-city and person-to-person diplomacy in the capital city of North Carolina. We partner with the City of Raleigh and other local organizations to achieve this mission and empower our international communities to be connected and celebrated.
Established by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1956, Sister Cities International was established to promote friendly relations and mutual understanding between citizens of U.S. cities and those of similar cities in foreign countries. Read more

Why These Partnerships Matter!
Though separated by geography, culture, and scale, these communities face many of the same challenges—from sustainable growth and climate resilience to economic opportunity and quality of life. By sharing ideas, experiences, and best practices, they learn from one another and develop stronger solutions for their residents. Together, these partnerships demonstrate how local collaboration can help build more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable cities.

Thu, Nov 05Mordecai Historic ParkJoin us at Mordecai Historic Park on November 5 for a traditional Guy Fawkes Night bonfire! Enjoy food and drinks included with your ticket, hear the story and history of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, and end the evening with the burning of a Guy Fawkes effigy. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
